The red is the perfect apple red background for the classic yellow pencil. It’s not so starling that it looks offputting but is the perfect classic combination to be worn any day of the week. If you are a teacher, you must have this topper."
"I love the pencils, but I wish the background was a different color. The pencils don’t really pop on the red. It’s just meh. I bought them because I really wanted a topper for the start of the school year. But I would have preferred a darker or brighter background color. Maybe black/navy/dark green or bright pink/blue/yellow would be adorable! I hope Pair comes out with a crayon topper next year!"
