What are Tops Frames?

Add personality to your Pair with hundreds of swappable Top Frames that instantly snap onto your Base Frame. We have tops in unique patterns, bold colors, Sun Tops, and classics!

How Do Top Frames Attach to Base Frames?

The magic is in the magnets. Two invisible, ultra-lightweight magnets (we’re talking < 1 gram), cover the top left and right corners of the frames, firmly attaching the top frame.

What Are Top Frames Made Out Of?

How Thick Are Top Frames?

2mm. Our goal is to have our Pair Family seeing 20–20, so our Tops will not obstruct your vision.

How Heavy is a Top Frame?

The weight of a single Top Frame ranges from 2.6 to 3.5 grams, depending on the model. That’s lighter than a teaspoon of sugar! Our Sun Tops will typically add an additional 2–3 grams due to their lenses.

"This was my first time ordering glasses online. I have a stronger prescription and was a little nervous about it. Honestly, these glasses far exceeded my expectations. The frames themselves are very high quality metal and the hinges are very nice. This style has nose pads (which I haven’t had in over 15 years) so that was something to get used to again but the pads are very cushy and comfortable. I love the toppers and thought I would prefer wearing the frames with toppers but I actually really like the gold metal frames. Love these!"

With time, these did not hold up

"I love the novelty of being able to buy new toppers. But these glasses have scratched way worse than any I own (a lot). Within six months they’ve held up worse than the $30 ones I wear from competing sites. Along with that, the nose pad on one side has started giving me a weird irritation (never happened before, I’ve worn glasses most of my life) and the other side nose pad simply broke and fell off today while driving. Also, the pink polarized sunglasses toppers fell in fresh water very briefly, and when I picked them up the mirror was completely messed up and they were unusable. Not sure I’d recommend given the quality."

Seem fine for now - took a while to ship

"First time wearing glasses and they seem alright, not sure if the problems I have are from glasses in general or from these frames. I really like the ability to change up the front colors. My gripe was the time it took to get them after order was placed. I went with pair as the FAQ’s said about a week to be made, shipped and delivered. It took 3 weeks to receive them."

Love my new glasses!

"I love these new glasses! After some big adjustments on the nose grips, they finally sit in a good spot on my face. I love the quality; how heavy and sturdy they feel in my hands and that the arms have a spring that allows them to bend outwards just a little bit. The metal is beautiful shiny rose gold, and they look great!
