What are Tops Frames?

Add personality to your Pair with hundreds of swappable Top Frames that instantly snap onto your Base Frame. We have tops in unique patterns, bold colors, Sun Tops, and classics!

How Do Top Frames Attach to Base Frames?

The magic is in the magnets. Two invisible, ultra-lightweight magnets (we’re talking < 1 gram), cover the top left and right corners of the frames, firmly attaching the top frame.

What Are Top Frames Made Out Of?

Durable, injected-molded plastic.

How Thick Are Top Frames?

2mm. Our goal is to have our Pair Family seeing 20–20, so our Tops will not obstruct your vision.

How Heavy is a Top Frame?

The weight of a single Top Frame ranges from 2.6 to 3.5 grams, depending on the model. That’s lighter than a teaspoon of sugar! Our Sun Tops will typically add an additional 2–3 grams due to their lenses.

"I love The Murphy frame! The fit is perfect and the magnetic system is great — even the black topper looks super sleek. I gave 4 stars only because the tortoise topper looks a bit cheap up close, you can tell the pattern is printed. Would love a more translucent / layered tortoise option. Otherwise, obsessed!"

Spruce Murphy

"I love my new Murphy glasses in spruce! I’ve been so eager for this color since it was released, and waited on a second pair until the stars (my insurance and updated prescription, lol) aligned. I have a large head (unfortunately *not* due to a massive brain) and high cheekbones: I feel the Murphy shape and size does a nice job balancing out my head and face! My only complaint so far is that my cute top frames (3) don’t sit flush to the base frames, so the magnet attachment isn’t very secure as a result. The gapping is only visible to me, but the other consequence is that it’s very easy to knock the top frames askew, or completely off, when I adjust my glasses (or reach up to touch them at all with toppers on). The problem isn’t enough to make me remove more than one star: the glasses are beautiful and so are the toppers: but I’d love to see this issue addressed!"

Very Cute Glasses

"They fit perfectly and they are cute! I was worried getting glasses online that maybe my prescription wouldn't be right but I could see!! I will say the changeable frames is nice but they don't actually cover the whole base frame. The bottom off the frame peeks through which made one of the interchangable frames I picked out not really work with the base frame. Other than that I do recommend!"

"I purchased these glasses because I’ve had issues with dry eyes wearing contacts. Because it is summer, I was tired of squinting in my glasses when going outside. The sole purpose of this purchase was so that I could have sun tops that didn’t look like granny clip on glasses. These frames exceeded expectation! They are cute, functional, and so versatile!"

Great product

"I’d give five stars cause everything is great especially the employees I’ve been in contact with. They are very informative and are great with communication, I was surprised with how fast I got a reply. I’ve never experienced that before. Buuut, the bridge of the glasses is too small for my nose and it just keeps falling down. I went to go get them tightened to see if my ears could cold them up but he wasn’t able to do much. That’s alright, I’m still very happy about them."
