What are Tops Frames?

Add personality to your Pair with hundreds of swappable Top Frames that instantly snap onto your Base Frame. We have tops in unique patterns, bold colors, Sun Tops, and classics!

How Do Top Frames Attach to Base Frames?

The magic is in the magnets. Two invisible, ultra-lightweight magnets (we’re talking < 1 gram), cover the top left and right corners of the frames, firmly attaching the top frame.

What Are Top Frames Made Out Of?

How Thick Are Top Frames?

2mm. Our goal is to have our Pair Family seeing 20–20, so our Tops will not obstruct your vision.

How Heavy is a Top Frame?

The weight of a single Top Frame ranges from 2.6 to 3.5 grams, depending on the model. That’s lighter than a teaspoon of sugar! Our Sun Tops will typically add an additional 2–3 grams due to their lenses.

First Timer: Progressive Pride!

"I have been ogling PAIRS for years, sighing over the fun toppers (especially premiums and colourful tops). This year I needed progressives, and my sensitive blue eyes are always crying in the sun so suntoppers were a massive incentive to choose PAIRS, as were the mixed material options. I wear silver jewelry so picked the clear with silver arms, and I chose ELLA for my narrow face (exact same cat eyes as my previous traditional frames, but PAIRS are quite flat where my previous frames had a slight curve. I think the metal arms look a bit more upscale. Really pleased with the progressive lenses, love my toppers. Ella feels playful and feminine. Only downsides: they slide a bit down my nose, as I’m used to traditional metal frames with nose pads. I’m Canadian and paid $20 extra for quick shipping. Arrived a day ahead of expectations!"

"It took a few days to get used to the new frames because they were different than my old glasses, They are a little loose and I haven’t been able to find anyone able to tighten them for me yet. I’m not used to seeing the frames so much in my periphery, but I love how they look and I’m having so much fun with the toppers. I change with my outfits. "These frames are so feminine and cute! Not over exaggerated or huge. I got tortoise frame. Love love love these. I saw WildFern on YouTube wearing them. Not crazy about the tortoise shell sunglass topper though, it’s a picture not actually a colored frame. Going to pick up the black sunglass topper. If you’re on the fence, buy them! So happy I did."
