Frequently asked questions

How do I know which frame will fit my child?

Our eyewear fits a wide range of face shapes and sizes. We offer five frame styles that range in size, and you can view the measurements of each frame on our main website. The Cedro and Serra are targeted for youngins in the age range of 6-9 years old. The Otero and Twain are perfect for children ages 9-12, and the Larkin is best for children ages 12 and up. We also have a risk-free 30 day trial on all of our frames so if you don't absolutely love them, send them back for a free return or exchange.

What prescriptions do you accept?

At this time, we offer single vision lenses with SPH values of -8.00 through +4.00 and / or CYL values within -2.00 through + 2.00. We can also fill a CYL value from -4.00 to +4.00 if your SPH value falls between -6.00 and +6.00. This may cost an extra $49. If you have a question about whether we can fill your prescription, don't hesitate to reach out! Chat us, call us at (646) 389-9692 or email us at hello@paireyewear.com and we'd be happy to help!

How durable are the frames?

We like to say our frames are adventure proof! They are built to survive the playground without sacrificing style. Our glasses are made from stress-tested ,durable hand-polished acetate and feature scratch-resistant lenses as well as kid-proof, flexible spring hinges. Of course, we understand kids are kids. That's why we offer PairCARE insurance! If your kids glasses break or scratch, send us a message and we'll replace them immediately and they will be at your door in 3-5 days.

How do I give you my kid's prescription?

When purchasing your glasses you will be given three options. You can upload a picture of your prescription to our website (fastest option), email us a picture of your prescription to hello@paireyewear.com or have us call your doctor and we'll take care of getting the prescription for you :)

I am a small fitting adult which frame should I buy?

Our glasses were made for children - however, if you have a small face shape like our founders, the Larkin and the Twain can fit your face! One way to compare is by looking at the measurements on the inside of your current pair of glasses and comparing them with our frame measurements. In addition, we have a risk-free 30 day trial on all of our frames so if you don't absolutely love them, send them back for a free return or exchange.

What if we buy a frame but then does not fit?

No problem! We have a risk-free 30 day trial on all of our frames so if you don't absolutely love them, send them back for a free return or exchange.

Other Helpful Tips

Other Helpful Tips

  • When selecting frames, pick glasses and tops that complement your personal style and hair and eye color.
  • Make sure to coordinate your frame size with our age recommendations. If your child is between the ages of 4 and 8, our Cedro and Serra frames are generally best. If your child is 9 or older, choose between the Otero, Twain or Larkin.
  • As a general rule of thumb, frames opposite a child’s face shape tend to highlight their features best. If your child’s face shape is more circular, choose a rectangular frame. If your child’s face is more narrow, a round frame is usually best! If you’re used to wearing a round or rectangular frames, stick to what you know :)

Make sure to follow all the age and style recommendations above.
