Are progressives right for you?
ADD Power
The ADD value applies to multifocal lenses like progressives. It provides power to the lens for close-up tasks like reading. This is the first strong indicator that your eyes would benefit from progressive lenses.
Different Rxs for Distance & Reading
If you have separate prescriptions for distance (OD - Right Eye, OS - Left Eye) and reading (ADD), progressive lenses seamlessly blend these prescriptions.
Preference
Even without these prescription differences, you can still wear progressives. If you have multiple vision needs and want to have an all-in-one Pair, opt for progressives!

Made to Match You
We measure your face and frame placement, then custom-build your distance, intermediate, and reading zones.
Most designs are generic, with limited personalization.
Faster adjustment
You get up to 40% wider field of view and less peripheral distortion. That means fewer head tilts and smoother transitions.
Narrower fields and more “swim” — that off-balance feeling in your side vision.
Precise measurements
Your pupillary distance and segment height are captured down to the millimeter.
Manual input is standard. That leaves room for error, especially with complex Rxs.
High-Prescription Friendly
Built to support strong corrections and astigmatism with precision and comfort.
Many struggle with alignment for anything beyond average prescriptions.
Crafted in the USA
Crafted at our USA lens lab. We control every step from design to delivery.
Outsourced to global vendors with mixed standards.
Customize Your Progressives
Lens add-ons like light-responsive, blue-light filtering, and Premium Plus can enhance your all-purpose Pair. Plus, you can snap on our magnetic Top Frames and polarized Sun Tops to switch up your everyday style!

What are progressive lenses?
Progressive lenses are prescription lenses that allow someone to see clearly at different distances — near, intermediate, and far. One of people's favorite aspects of progressives is that they look like any other kind of prescription lenses, despite having extra built in power to better show all kinds of distances.
How do progressive lenses work?
Progressive lenses have zones meant for near, far, and intermediate distance vision. These zones blend into one another so you experience the changes in power more progressively, instead of hard switches.
What are the benefits of premium plus progressive lenses?
Our premium plus progressive lenses are for the progressive wearers that need a little extra power in their lenses. We recommend prescriptions with power below -6.00 or above +3.00 to add on premium plus. On top of this, these higher power, high-index lenses are ultra-thin, anti-reflective, and scratch-resistant.
What are the pros and cons of wearing progressive lenses?
If you're considering switching to progressive lenses, here's what you need to know in order to help you make a decision.
Progressive Lens Benefits
You'll only need one pair of glasses for all your activities. Whether you're reading, driving, working on the computer, playing golf, or anything in between, you can have comfort knowing all your near, intermediate, and far sight needs are met.
Progressive lenses don't have hard switches between the different lens powers. Bifocals or trifocals, on the other hand, can often have hard jumps in power, usually felt as your eyes move between the hard-marked lines on bifocal or trifocal lenses.
Progressives don't draw unwanted attention to your lenses or your age. For some folks, the hard lines and sections evident on bifocal or trifocal lenses can be an unwanted marker of age. For others, they may just want the sleek look of clear frames with no marks. Progressives look like any "normal" prescription glasses with fully transparent lenses.
Progressive Lens Drawbacks
Although new Progressives can take some time to adjust to progressives, Pair's advanced technology to reduce peripheral aberrations makes adaptation time shorter! See our tips for Progressive wearers below.
Progressives can be costly! Due to the higher tech and more streamlined design that corrects vision at multiple kinds of distances. However, Pair makes sure you are getting the highest quality at one of the more affordable prices on the market.-
Do you have any tips for progressive lens wearers?
Wear your progressives as often as you can to speed up the rate at which you can grow accustomed to them. Make sure, however, to monitor yourself for discomfort and visual distortion. It can help to steadily work up to wearing your progressive lenses for longer periods of wear. For any piece of eyewear, stop use if you experience consistent distress!
When walking, try to look straight ahead instead of at the ground or your feet. The bottoms of progressives lenses are typically meant for close-up tasks like reading or working on your laptop. When you look down while moving straight ahead, your vision can become too magnified.
Practice aiming your head in the direction you'd like to look, not just moving your eyes. Given the multiple fields of views with progressives, switching between lens fields too quickly can interfere with your vision.
Always follow your eye doctor's instructions! If you're having trouble adapting to your progressives, let them know and they can provide additional guidance on your prescription, fit, and use.
